Healey Lane Cakery - Terms and Conditions August 2013

Timescales

Healey Lane Cakery will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate your order. However we work to a maximum number of cakes per week. We will not compromise quality through greed.

Usually 3 months’ notice for Wedding Cakes and 3 weeks’ notice for Celebration Cakes is sufficient.

Please contact us to discuss an order outside these time scales. We may still be able to fore full your order.

Checking your order

Your Cake is important to us. Whilst we take every measure possible to check orders, it is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that the details on the order form are accurate.

Deposits

Once an order is placed the deposit (£100 for a Wedding Cake and £25 for Celebration Cakes) is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Final Payment

The final payment for any Cake is 2 weeks before collection or delivery.

A cake ordered within 2 weeks will need to be paid in full on placing the order

.

Delivery

Healey Lane Cakery will deliver at the time and address agreed with the Customer. A delivery charge may be added to the final cost depending on distance.

Delivery/Setting up of Your Cakes at A Venue

Cakes should be inspected to ensure that they were not damaged in transit by us. Where damage does occur then it is our responsibility to ensure this is rectified within the time scales. A full refund will be given if this is not possible.

Collection

Once the Cake leaves our kitchen we cannot be liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the Cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit.

You will be responsible for any damage to any product that occurs after the delivery or collection and or as a result of not following any instructions/advice we may give in respect of storage, setting up or further transportation of the Cake.

Best before Dates

When preparing some Cakes, especially larger ones, the Cakes need to be in preparation for 2 sometimes 3 days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the Cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates are usually within 2 days of the events.

To assist in prolonging the shelf life the Cakes are best placed in a sealed container (this will damage a sugar paste finish.) We do not accept liability for consumption from 2 days following the event
